Who are you talking to??

Posted on Updated on

This morning while reading my devotional & scriptures, the authors was referencing when Eve was talking to the serpent about what God instructed them to eat and not to eat.  The authors said her first mistake was talking the serpent and not God.

img_2132So, this lead me to start thinking “Who are you talking to after God has given you specific instructions for your life?”

When God tells us His plan for our lives, He never intended for us to seek false counsel from people that don’t have a relationship with Him and most importantly that He hasn’t placed there to help us reach our purpose & full spiritual potential.

See, Gods word tells us to seek wise counsel in all that we do so we can stay on course. Gods plan was never designed to do it without Him!! He will ALWAYS lead us in the right path as long as you come talk to Him first.

“Without good direction, people lose their way; the more wise counsel you follow, the better your chances.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭11:14‬ ‭MSG

When you are in doubt talk to God! When someone comes to you and try to put doubt & fear in your mind, talk to God! If someone tries to tell you another way to reach your goal talk to God!  God will always reconfirmed and reassurance you about the plan He has for you. He may show you through signs & wonders, He make speak to you through a vision, or He may place a Man or Woman of God in your life that will speak life about the plans He has for you!!

When you talk to God He will always order your steps in the way you should go (Proverbs 20:24).

Remember God gave us His word so we would never fail!

“He will die for lack of instruction, And in the greatness of his folly he will go astray.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭5:23‬ ‭NASB

So , I just want to remind you and even myself to Seek God first before man because God WILL always instruct & reconfirm!

“Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.”

The above scripture is from the book of Ezekiel. In this particular chapter ( Ezekiel 36) the prophet is talking about the restoration for Israel.

See Israel was God’s chosen people. God delivered them from Egypt but during their journey to the promise land they got distracted, mislead, attacked by their enemies, and worshiped false idols. During this journey’ Israel spirit became broken and their hearts harden. God wanted to save Israel and bring them back to the land He promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. So through this prophecy that Ezekiel shared with them he was prophesying what God’s will for them was. God wanted to clean them, make them new. He wanted to give them a new heart and spirit so that they would follow Gods law so they could take them back to the land that He promised their ancestors.

Can anyone relate to the people of Israel? Has God promised you something but through your disobedience, worship of worldly things, distractions from the opposite sex, or being consumed by negative and toxic people caused you to lost your way and just don’t know how to get back to the promise that He has for you?

Well the best way to get back to the promises that God has for your life is to submit to His Will. Follow His Word so that He can clean you off inside. Let Him remove all the worldly dirty that has consumed you., so He can give you a clean heart and a new spirit.

When you allow Him to take you back from the darkness to the light, He will defeat your enemies, remove distractions, give you focus, and guide you back to where you are supposed to be.

I set aside some books last year to either finish, re-read,  or start reading. Well no time like now. 2017 for me represents Victory!! In order for me to be victorious I need to read Gods Word and seek all the knowledge and understanding I can so He can use me to do the work of the Kingdom! Scripture says we fail (are destroyed) due to lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6) Well I don’t want to fail so I’m challenging myself and you to read more and study more!!!

If we prepare ourselves for Victory by gaining  knowledge and understanding through The Word of God we can’t lose!!!!

Are you a Prudent Virgin?

Happy Monday everyone. I pray that everyone had a very Blessed and Merry Christmas.

My Christmas was blessed. I was able to fellowship and worship with my church family on Saturday. However during service while they ministered in song and dance, and spoke about the real meaning of Christmas. However I kept hearing Christ Must instead of Christmas.

As the words Christ Must kept running through my mind, the spirit told me to share that Christ Must be a part of our lives going into 2017 and not to delay.

The Lord does not want us to wait until the clock strikes 12 to confess Jesus as our Lord and Savior. He wants us to seek Him now because we don’t know when it’s our time to leave this earth or the day that the Lord will come back. We must be ready and prepared.

A good example of being ready and not waiting until the finial hour can be found in the book of Matthew 25:1-13.  In this chapter Jesus uses a parable that compares the kingdom of heaven to ten virgins. These virgins were all waiting on the bridegroom to come. Half of the virgins were prudent and the others were foolish. The foolish virgins did not bring oil for their lamps but the prudent virgins were prepared and ready with their oils. When the bridegroom finally came the foolish virgins had to go out to get some oil and try to make it back in time to meet the bridegroom. 4.2.7Well they were too late, the prudent virgins went with the bridegroom and the foolish unprepared virgins where left outside. Because they were not prepared they didn’t meet the bridegroom and they also missed out on celebrating with the other virgins.

Don’t be like the foolish virgin and get so consumed that you are not ready for the future. Don’t wait, December 31, 2016 at 11:59pm because it maybe to late. We must be prudent in everything we do and Christ Must be the center of our lives at all times.

(Matthew 25:13 AMP) “Therefore, be on the alert [be prepared and ready], for you do not know the day nor the hour [when the Son of Man will come].”

If you have not confessed Jesus as your Lord and Savoir or your not sure if you have and you are ready to be prepared for the new year, then all you have to do is read this scripture, believe it with your whole heart, and say amen!

(Romans 10:9-10 NLT) “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”

colossians3_14_warmgreyColossians 3:13-14 NABS “…bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.”

Happy Monday!!! I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas in advance!!

Christmas has always been a season of celebration. It’s a time to be happy and share with our loved ones. Unfortunately they’re so many families and friends that are unhappy and estranged because they are still holding onto years of hurt, frustration, and unforgiveness.

Is that you or someone you may know?

Well, forgiveness and love are a very important part of our growth when we are trying to reach the greatness that God has within us. He wants us to forgive one another just as He forgives us over and over, He  wants us to love one another just like he loves us.

In spite of our sinful ways God loved us so much that He gave us His only Son (which is the real reason for the season). He gave us His only Son so that anyone who believed could have salvation. The gift of salvation through Jesus Christ gives us deliverance. Once we give our lives to Christ we receive forgives and love. This gift of salvation makes us a part of one body and that is the body of Christ. Being a part of Christ we have to love like He does and forgive like He does.

So in honor and reverence of our Lord and Savior lets keep the gift of forgiveness and love going. Release yourselves from these strongholds of unforgiveness that are keeping you from reaching the greatness that is within you. Let go and let God!!!

Tis the season to love one another. So “Put on Love” that’s the best gift we can give!!!!!

 Happy Monday!!!!

Today in my hometown it is raining. When it rains, most people are quick to say it makes them sad, lazy, depressed, and even gloomy. Well it reminds me of how God rained down manna in the Old Testament as well as all the blessings in my life.

Well what is manna? Glad you asked. Webster definition says, ‘’it’s a food that was supplied by a miracle; it’s something needed that is received unexpectedly.” Doesn’t that sound like a blessing? It sure does to me.

In the book of Psalms God rained down manna for the Israelites. This was during their 40 days in the wilderness. They complained and spoke against God. They asked why God couldn’t not provide them with food to eat (Psalms 78:19). This angered God. But God being God, He commanded the skies to open up and heavens doors opened and rained down manna for them to eat (Psalms 78:23-25).

Just like the Israelites we have to cry out to God and ask Him to rain down His blessings in our lives. In Matthew 6:11, His Word tells us that He will give us the food we need daily. God does not want to see us without. He wants to rain down blessings on us daily. God’s Word does not lie! All He ask is that we submit to His Will for your lives and He will rain down blessing from heaven just like manna.

Happy Monday!!!!

This is the day the Lord has made and I’m so glad to be sharing my Monday Devotional with you all.

This morning I ask the Lord to show me what to say. As I drifted back off until a peaceful rest I was awaken by my phone. When I looked at the time I realized I over sleep. With so much to do today I thought to myself, will I have the time to do everything I need to do. Then I realized that God gave me a Word that we can all meditate on today and that’s “Gods Perfect Timing”

So many times, we get upset because we oversleep, get stuck in traffic, or completely forgot that we had something to do today. But have you ever just sat back and thought to yourself why? Well the answer is simple, it was “God’s Perfect Timing.” Gods timing is everything. We may not understand why it happened initially but God will reveal it to us.

Let’s go back, someone wakes up late so they turn the news on and see it was a horrific accident that happed on the same highway, the same lane, and the same time that they would have been on it, “God’s Perfect timing!” Or you were stuck in traffic and you see a co-worker stalled on the side of the road and needs help, “God’s Perfect Timing!”

I could go on and on but I’ll let God’s Words speak for Itself; (Ecclesiastes 3:11 NLT: Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.)

When our timing doesn’t work the way we plan just know that God is interceding on our behalf. He knew our end before our beginning (Psalms 139:16 NLT) so nothing He does is by accident.

So, the next time things don’t seem to go as planned just say Thank You Lord!!!!
