Monday Devotional

Are you a Prudent Virgin?

Happy Monday everyone. I pray that everyone had a very Blessed and Merry Christmas.

My Christmas was blessed. I was able to fellowship and worship with my church family on Saturday. However during service while they ministered in song and dance, and spoke about the real meaning of Christmas. However I kept hearing Christ Must instead of Christmas.

As the words Christ Must kept running through my mind, the spirit told me to share that Christ Must be a part of our lives going into 2017 and not to delay.

The Lord does not want us to wait until the clock strikes 12 to confess Jesus as our Lord and Savior. He wants us to seek Him now because we don’t know when it’s our time to leave this earth or the day that the Lord will come back. We must be ready and prepared.

A good example of being ready and not waiting until the finial hour can be found in the book of Matthew 25:1-13.  In this chapter Jesus uses a parable that compares the kingdom of heaven to ten virgins. These virgins were all waiting on the bridegroom to come. Half of the virgins were prudent and the others were foolish. The foolish virgins did not bring oil for their lamps but the prudent virgins were prepared and ready with their oils. When the bridegroom finally came the foolish virgins had to go out to get some oil and try to make it back in time to meet the bridegroom. 4.2.7Well they were too late, the prudent virgins went with the bridegroom and the foolish unprepared virgins where left outside. Because they were not prepared they didn’t meet the bridegroom and they also missed out on celebrating with the other virgins.

Don’t be like the foolish virgin and get so consumed that you are not ready for the future. Don’t wait, December 31, 2016 at 11:59pm because it maybe to late. We must be prudent in everything we do and Christ Must be the center of our lives at all times.

(Matthew 25:13 AMP) “Therefore, be on the alert [be prepared and ready], for you do not know the day nor the hour [when the Son of Man will come].”

If you have not confessed Jesus as your Lord and Savoir or your not sure if you have and you are ready to be prepared for the new year, then all you have to do is read this scripture, believe it with your whole heart, and say amen!

(Romans 10:9-10 NLT) “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”
